Mesh Mashup Assignment
In this assignment, I learned how to download other creators' 3D objects from Thing Verse and remix them together. I had quite a fun time coming up with different concepts and letting my mind wander as I created these remixes in Tinker Cad. Throughout this process, I learned that not everything goes your way. Maybe the mesh looks grainy when you import it into the system, or perhaps the STL is too large. Yet, this is all part of the creative process and a part of remix culture, as you must accept your design's flaws and push your boundaries to create something you are proud of.
Here is the first design that I remixed, I thought that it might be an interesting concept if I took two different objects that heavily contrast against each other A watering can is something that I would consider an everyday object, and when paired with a pristine sculpture of a woman bathing thought that it was humorous

This mashup truly did not have much thought to it, I simply thought of one thing that I like, such as pizza, and then a creature that I am scared of, such as an alligator, to then create a very strange, yet comical monstrosity. Beware the pizza alligator!

Here is my second design that I created, I simply wanted to make a scene that most people would find scary, or disturbing. The bathtub is generally a place where people stretch out ad relax in, and I personally find that anything slithering through my faucet like some tentacles would scare the pants off of me.

After truly letting my mind wander I started to think about my childhood pet, Ruby Red, she was a beta fish I got when I was 5 years old and she went on to live for roughly 4 years. And although that may sound impressive, the poor thing was never immune to getting bothered by my older cousin Joel who always tapped on her fishbowl. I then began to think, what if fish got revenge on humans, and put us in tanks?

As a kid, my parents never had much money, and my dad growing up extremely poor heard the phrase "Money doesn't grow on trees" quite a bit. Which he then told me and my sister whenever we got whiny about wanting treats for the store or more toys than two kids would ever need. After making a few models, I began to think about what my life is like right now as a university student, and what a treat it would be to have a money tree.

After creating my model of a money tree, I let my imagination wander back to more things that I had experienced as a child. That is when I remembered playing 'the floor is lava" with my cousins and how we would climb all over the kitchen when my mother wasn't around. After finding a model of a kitchen and dining set on Things verse, I knew exactly what I wanted to create.

After making a few goofy designs I thought about creating a model that displayed an important issue. that is when I thought back to an article I read the other day about how more of the forests around the world are slowly dying. that is when i wanted to create a dead plain of land with tree stumps to represent deforestation and then a large flourishing city in the middle to contrast against this.

Growing up, I did a lot of reading as a kid and I loved fiction and adventure books. That is where I thought of the idea of "what if a book came to life". After searching Things verse, I came across a model of a book that was centered around the theme of beauty and the beast. that is when I created a rose bush blossoming from its pages, given the importance of the flower in the actual story.

Anytime someone visits my grandmas house, the first thing most people notice are the paintings she has hung around the walls. Most of these paintings would be considered 'grandma art" as it features, babies and kittens and hyperfeminine subjects. After brainstorming more about this concept of 'grandma art' I decided to give it a try and create a model of a baby kitten sleeping in a flower, as I felt very strongly that perhaps my grandma would love the model and perhaps even add it to her collection of paintings.
After almost running out of ideas, I began to think about the interesting concept of scale and size. that is when I thought about the contrast of size between birds and hot air balloons and they glide through the sky. I then asked myself the question, How funny would it be if an eagle could just grab a hot air balloon much like how eagles scoop up its prey from the ground?
